Isomorphic Labs is in talks to raise again at a valuation north of $40B.
No drug portfolio they could develop soon supports that number. So the market is paying for the capability, and the test is whether the engine has enough platform and strategic value to stand alone.
I saw the same setup working with a quantum computing portfolio company. Investors pay for a capability while its an option. Once the company shows specific outputs, investors price those outputs, and the valuation drops.
For Isomorphic, I'd watch what the engine helps Lilly and Novartis do. Milestone payments matter less than results: molecules reaching the clinic faster, or targets nobody could drug before.
